It works.
I installed it per instructions and connected the HF dust extractor up. Made a metal bracket to zip tie the vac hose over the main spring of the miter saw. The hose needed some support I thought. Made a few cuts and frankly a little disappointed thinking this would capture more of the wood dust. I may need to build some type of hood around the cutting area. Overall this is better than the bag supplied method which comes with the saw.
Works well, i did note that if you haven't pushed out the top of the fence then it gets stuck and cuts the floppy sweep bit. Good that there were two :) it's been working well so far.
Dust collection on my Hercules double bevel miter saw from the factory was an afterthought at best, but more likely a cruel engineer's enduring nose thumbing at the folly of consumerism. It collects nothing but mounting disappointment. This gem from Wittworks, however, is an elegant and extremely effective solution which (in my limited use) collects the vast majority of sawdust from the blade regardless the use case (miter angle, bevel, slide engagement). I am very pleased to have this dust collector, and while I rarely write reviews, this product deserves to be crowed from the rooftops.
Straight forward installation with use of the video tutorial. Function is everything I hoped for.
