Made a couple, learned a lot! I made the bottom drawers taller, and used 15mm ply, had to adjust the whole spreadsheet. I notice the tall drawers do not slide as easily, so I put plastic edge banding on de bottom of the drawers, now they slide better. My recommendation would be to have the drawer bottom panels cut from laminated ply. Cheers!

Great plans and easy to follow
I enjoyed making these cabinets. Originally i was only going to do 3 but they were so easy i made 2 more. I think i will build a small desk in between the two sets of cabinets. I didn't want anything blocking or near the electrical plug for my saw so if for some reason it needed to be unplugged in an emergency there was nothing around it. And I haven't decided what to do for a top whether to do the MDF with the laminate or just to buy a premade top from home Depot. Since I don't have anybody to help me chances are I'll probably do the pre-made. The reason I had to split the cabinets up was because I failed to follow the instructions correctly the first time around. When I put the little spacer on the bottom of the cabinet I don't know what I was thinking but I went ahead and I put the first side spacer right on top of it. Which ended up losing me a space for a drawer platform at the bottom and making the drawer at the top bigger than it should have been. So my workaround for that was that I just happened to have 3 extra pairs of drawer metal slides, so I went ahead and mounted the very bottom drawer of the three set on the metal slides and cut the false front for the 3 top drawers a little longer vertically. But when I put the two cabinets that I did correctly next to them of course none of the drawers lined up so that's why I decided to put the space in between them so that it wouldn't be quite so noticeable that they didn't line up. I would definitely buy another plan from here if there was something I saw that I thought would fit my shop.

Great plans, I modified it by adding 1/4” to the runners and extending the drawer fronts to 18 3/8” x 3 1/2” so I didn’t need the 3/4” drawer fronts.

Great plans! I needed good base cabinets for my messy garage workshop, ASAP. I loved the basic layout, and bought the plans. I only needed 4 cabs to start, so I used Opticut (recommended in the plans) to change up the cut lists. My wife also was adamant I use Euro drawer slides, but the plans were easy to adapt for this. Things are coming together perfectly. I'll top the cabinets off with 1.5" of MDF finished in oil polyurethane. Next I'll be building more base cabinets and a miter station from the updated plans!

I needed a stand on wheels for my planner. I hadn’t made any cabinets before, but wanted to try. The plans were easy to follow and just what I needed. I was able to successfully build my first cabinet using just a track saw, I don’t have a table saw yet.

Plans for the 20" base cabinets with drawers were excellent. One improvement I felt was necessary: The plan calls for a 3/8" thick runner for the bottom drawer. After making and installing the first set, they seemed like a weak point that could break if the larger bottom drawer held anything remotely heavy. So, in my cabinets, I installed a 3rd cross member down the middle of the bottom of the cabinet carcass to support the middle (weakest) point of those thin runners. Alternative, (I didn't do this), there is also room at the top where all the drawers could be moved up a 1/4" or so to allow for 5/8" thick runners at the bottom. Please consider fixing this design deficiency in some way.
Just completed building a set of 6 of these base cabinets. The plans were easy to follow and the cutting diagram is great. If I widen the cabinet about 3/4", the drawers will hold a Harbor Freight portable part storage container. I may give that a try. If you're thinking of building some shop cabinets, save yourself some time and buy these plans. Well worth it.

The plans are great, and as a newbie woodworker, I found the ability to move back and forth between the plans and video especially helpful. Witt gives good patter. The bonus plans for a drill press stand were an unexpected surprise, and I'm thrilled. I built the stand first and used it for my mortiser. I'm pleased with the result, visually. That's form. And my drawers move silky smooth. That's function. Make sure to build the runner jig as Witt recommends. I've built six carcasses and am grateful for the cut diagrams. Can't wait to see the finished bank of cabinets.

Not quite finished but came together well. My tools aren't very accurate so I'm having to do some adjustments.
I’ve desperately needed more storage and organization in my garage/workshop. The plans were straight forward and easy to understand. Was able to knock this out in a weekend. I highly recommend spending the time to make a drawer assembly jig. Also note that using the imperial measurements version, your box width will come out 1/8” narrower since the plywood is 11/16” vs actual 3/4”. So these four boxes ended up measuring 79-1/2” long vs 80”. Not a big deal but worth noting. I went with black laminated mdf for the top and drawer fronts. I added a small chamfer around all the drawer fronts to add a little contrast. Overall I extremely happy with how they turned out. I’ll definitely be adding more around the garage in the future.

I’m starting with the drill press table plan, which I ended up using for my miter saw. The build plans, together with the video, were clear, and I did not have any significant problems with the plans and the assembly. The cabinet is solid and sturdy. The drawer slide method works well for me, and saved me money. I put locking swivel wheels on the bottom front and two regular swivel wheels on the bottom back. I’m completely satisfied with the plans, the process, and the results. Next I’m building a cabinet for my table saw using these plans. 😁 Vince Z

My first time building cabinets. I have 600 in them so far without a top so very cost effective. I made assembly jigs for the drawers which helped. Overall very happy so far and would highly recommend to anyone considering shop cabinets.

The plans and the accompanying video on YouTube by Drew, made these drawers extremely easy to build and modify!! I was able to split them and add a Miter Saw Station because Drew’s plans allowed you to break them down compartmentally. Could not recommend enough!

Recently “re-retired” and want to get into some woodworking. Built the cabinets to go into my 1880’s built shed/garage. I have never bought plans to build anything before. I found the instructions and cut list easy to work with. I am overwhelmed with the amount of sawdust produced. The top is two sheets of MDF covered by 1/4 inch tempered hardboard. Finished the cleat wall today. Start organizing tomorrow.

As a beginner woodworker, this is the first purchased plan and project that I have created for my workshop. Due to cutting all the pieces and having extra space between the drawers, I decided not to use the base assembly and installed castors instead. I was a bit tripped because I had extra pieces. As I progress as a woodworker, I will be able to measure and cut what is necessary for this project without much waste. These plans were great and easy to comprehend with nice measurement numbers, 1/4, 1/2, 3/8, and whole numbers. As an inexperienced woodworker, I needed that. I love my cabinet.

Plans were very easy to understand. Especially for this first time cabinet builder. I was able to purchase all the materials in preparation to begin the project. The cut sheet plan was clear and concise. Once everything was cut, the assembly went quite easily. I will definitely look for plans from them in the future!

Recommended great easy to use plans
This cabinet is almost identical to one I made for my wife a couple of years ago. Even the drawer slides are the same. She uses it to store quilting fabric. Since I made hers from pictures and measurements I took from a similar unit a friend of hers had, I had to wing it with no real plans. Your cabinet plans will be a great help in building another one..

I purchased the plans for the cabinets. The plans are very detail and straightforward. I hasve started purchasing the material and will begin building in the following days. Thanks for the plans!
Happy to support a fellow maker with some constructive criticism... - Plans were not print friendly, specifically the cut list diagrams. They were unreadable with 3 being crammed on a page. One diagram per page would have been optimal. - No instruction on how to add false fronts (in tutorial or video) - Was disappointed to be left with nearly 2 full sheets of plywood. I bought the plans to optimize / reduce waste without having to do my own math. - Excited to see the bonus "drill press stand" in the zip file, but it was an empty file.
First download was 0 bytes (empty file). When I contacted him, a replacement was sent right away. I haven't built it yet, but the plans look good.
I built cabinets using the plans and they came out nice.
